In April 2013, the Institute of Tourism and the Academy of Hotel Business and Catering in Poznan (Poland) signed a cooperation agreement (for 5 years), under which students had the opportunity to obtain higher European education at the educational level of “master” in ” Hotel Business and Catering “and” Organization and maintenance of tourist traffic “on the program of double diplomas.
Admission took place without exams but on a paid basis.
In 2014-15, 1 student studied under this program.
Thus, after graduation, the student received a master’s degree of the state standard of the Academy of Hotel Business and Catering and SHEI “Precarpathian National University named after Vasyl Stefanyk.”
It is worth noting the close cooperation between the Faculty of Tourism and the State Higher Vocational School in Gorzow Wielkopolski (Academy named after Jakub of Paradise) (Poland). On November 21, 2013, an agreement was signed between Vasyl Stefanyk Precarpathian National University and the State Higher Vocational School. This agreement provided for a program of double diplomas for students of educational and qualification level “master”. Students of the Faculty of Tourism had the opportunity to study at the Faculty of Economics, majoring in “Tourism Management” in 2014-15, 2015-16, 2016-17 academic year. The contract stipulates that students study for free.
The main advantage of these agreements is that students have the opportunity to receive two diplomas in parallel in two educational institutions: Ukrainian and Polish. Training schedules vary. Students remotely have the opportunity to make a difference in the curriculum.
Also, since 2018, 1 student is studying for a double degree program in Gniezno (Poland), Adam Mickiewicz University, Institute of European Culture, majoring in Media Studies.
On October 16, 2018, within the framework of the double diplomas program, master’s theses of students of the Faculty of Tourism of Vasyl
Stefanyk Precarpathian National University in the specialty “Tourism” specialization “Tourism Management” at the Faculty of Economics of the Jakub Academy of Paradise in Gorzow Wielkopolski.
Signed a few years ago, the Cooperation Agreement between the Faculty of Tourism of Vasyl Stefanyk Precarpathian National University and the Faculty of Economics of the Jakub Academy of Paradise in Gorzow Wielkopolski allows our students to obtain double master’s degrees (Polish and Ukrainian).
This year the AJP Master’s degree was awarded to:
• Yuliya Knyhynytska (the topic of the master’s thesis is “Analysis of common forms of tourism promotion in Ukraine”).
• Nadiya Ostafiychuk (master’s thesis topic “Economic management of the organization of work of the transfer service”).
• Natalia Sivan (theme of the master’s thesis “Methods of development in the development of the Ivano-Frankivsk region”).
• Nazar Zhmuryk (the topic of the master’s thesis “Organizational culture as an element of charging on the basis of the Coral Travel tourist enterprise”).
All participants of the double degree program studied for 2 years (3 semesters in Ukraine and 4 semesters in Poland). While studying in Poland, students had the opportunity to undergo undergraduate practice, gain practical international experience in tourism management and collect interesting material for research.
This program of double diplomas has significantly increased the competitiveness of our graduates in the international labor market, provided an opportunity today to obtain employment contracts in the Republic of Poland, as well as work on the implementation of innovations in the tourism industry of Ukraine.
